Dr. Douglas Groothuis
Douglas Groothuis is Professor of Philosophy at Denver Seminary where he has served since 1993. He is the author of 14 books, including Walking through Twilight: A Wife's Illness--A Philosophers Lament.
Dr. Heather Gingrich
Heather Davediuk Gingrich, Ph.D. is professor of counseling at Denver Seminary. She specializes in the treatment of adult survivors of abuse, and has done both research and clinical work in the areas of dissociative disorders and trauma. She is author of Restoring the Shattered Self: A Christian Counselor’s Guide to Complex Trauma, and co-editor and contributor to Treating Trauma in Christian Counseling.
Mary Jo Sharp
A former atheist who came to faith, Mary Jo Sharp has experienced two worlds of American culture: the post-Christian culture of the Pacific Northwest and the evangelical culture of the Bible Belt. She first encountered apologetics in her own spiritual search while seeking answers. Mary Jo is now an assistant professor of apologetics at Houston Baptist University and the founder and director of Confident Christianity Apologetics Ministry. She has been featured in Christianity Today’s cover story “The Unexpected Defenders” and is an international speaker on apologetics, focusing on love and logic to uncover truth.
Mary Jo is the author of the top-selling Bible study, “Why Do You Believe That?” as well as Living in Truth with LifeWay Christian Resources. She recently released her book Why I Still Believe. A clear communicator with a heart for people, Mary Jo finds great joy in sharing the deep truths of her Lord and Savior.
Mary Jo is also the founder of Confident Christianity, a Christian apologetics ministry that addresses the hard questions of Christianity through research, writing, training and debate.
Kevin has served in the nation’s leading churches and parachurch organizations as a pastor, director, and writer. Driven to help others understand biblical truth, he is a graduate of Denver Seminary where he earned an MA in Apologetics and Ethics. He is a recipient of the Gordon Lewis Award for academic excellence in the field of Philosophy of Religion. His works have been published on online articles and curriculums. Kevin currently serves as Lead Pastor of Peace Community Church in Colorado. He is also founder of Summit Angel, an agency that partners with Christian organizations to help develop their online strategy.
Teasi Cannon is a teacher, author, and lifelong learner who loves to share this truth: God is real and good, and He never fails.
Teasi holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Middle Tennessee State University School of Education and Behavioral Science and an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty Theological Seminary.
She is a confessed book addict with a heart-driven passion for studying apologetics and theology, and when she’s not spending time with family, you can most often find her sitting in her favorite spot on the couch with a book (preferably hard copy) in one hand and a hot mug of coffee in the other.
Teasi lives south of Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and best friend Bill. They have three amazing children who all grew up far too quickly, a wonderful son-in-love who supplies all the board games for family fun, and the most precious granddaughter the world has ever seen.
Naomi is the daughter of a pseudo–Christian cult leader. She was raised, yet hidden, within mainstream culture and public school education, where no one knew—or the few with a sense of something, stayed silent.
Naomi did not know this was the case until she was 28, from which point she has sought after truth with a questioning mind, adamant to never find herself so lost again. Through this seeking, she has found a solid foundation of redemption, love, and hope, through her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Naomi obtained her Masters in Social Work from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a focus in trauma. She is now just a few classes away from completing a Masters in Biblical Studies and Theology from Denver Seminary. She is the founder and Executive Director of NWM.
